I have a science degree from University of Calgary in Earth Sciences. I started working as a Park Naturalist in Alberta and BC Parks in 1980, where I studied and discovered all the plants from the Rocky Mountains to the Sunshine Coastal waters, valley bottom to mountain tops. Upon arrival in the Slocan Valley in 1989, I started harvesting and collecting natures wild bounty of botanicals for healing, health and well being. I also collect all the medicines needed for home birth, supporting many Mamas to have their babies at home over the years. I have taken several on-line herbal courses but consider myself self taught and experiential teacher, having worked with wild medicines for close to 40 years.
I have been teaching and sharing wild food and medicine programs with students and adults since the early 1990’s where I work as an Environmental Education Teacher.
I have a herbal business called Wild Heaven Herbals and Wild to the Tea Company
